The Investment

We believe that counseling is an incredibly important decision, a decision that can change you and your loved one’s lives. We take great pride in walking this journey with you which is why we spend so much time being intentional about the layout of the office and your experience in session. You deserve to have a high quality experience and to reap the rewards of your investment and the work that you put into the counseling process.

Insurance

After many years of experience, we’ve decided not to participate with insurance panels. We are considered out-of-network providers. However, we can provide you with a special type of receipt, called a superbill, so that you can seek reimbursement with your insurance company if you have out-of-network coverage. Many of our clients pay for services using their Health Savings or Flexible Spending Account.

Benefits of Not Using Insurance

  • Many employers have shifted to “high deductible insurance plans” which means you are paying out of pocket for services most of the year anyway.

  • I am not required to provide a mental health disorder diagnosis to provide treatment. When insurance is used, a diagnosis is required and the reality is that not every client meets the diagnostic criteria for a mental health disorder.

    • The exception to this is if you decide to seek reimbursement from your insurance company, I will provide you with a superbill with services, charges and the diagnostic coding. You can then use this document to seek reimbursement or to apply the charges to your deductible, pending approval from your insurance company.

  • There is a higher level of confidentiality, because your insurance company no longer has the ability to audit your Launch Point Counseling record.

  • YOU AND I get to decide how often we meet and the length and frequency of our sessions. An insurance company no longer has any power or control over these decisions.

  • Communication between us is streamlined and I can spend more valuable time on your care, as opposed to haggling with insurance companies about billing and whether or not counseling is necessary for you.

Fee

Sessions are billed in 50-minute intervals for individual sessions. The rate for the intake appointment is $170 while the rate for subsequent counseling sessions is $155. Clients will be charged a fee for each face to face session, phone consultation and any documentation that may need to be produced (i.e. letters for courts, schools, etc.) Please refer to the consent form for the rates for these additional services.

Payment

Payment of the full fee is due at the time of your counseling appointment, and the card (i.e. Debit Card, Credit Card, HSA or FSA) on file will be charged unless you notify your counselor of another form of payment.

Cancellation Policy

If you miss an appointment (no call/no show) or you cancel without 24 hours notice, you will be charged the full fee for the session. We ask that you give as much notice as possible so that we can schedule other clients who may be waiting to be seen.
