Get The Counseling Process Started With Our Client Portal

FREE 15 Minute Consultation

Prior to meeting for our first counseling appointment, we strongly recommend that you schedule a FREE 15 minute consultation to explore what motivated you to seek counseling. We’ll explore your concerns, what you are hoping to accomplish through counseling and how we may be a good fit. Once we determine that we are a good fit, we will schedule your intake appointment and get you on the path to Discover Your Launch Point!

To schedule the consultation, please schedule using the client portal above, email brad@launchpointcounseling.com or text/call 513-494-8190.

Prior to the First Session

After you schedule an appointment, we will reach out to you by email or phone to create an introduction and to help you prepare for the first session. There are several actions you can take prior to the first session:

  1. Log back into the client portal to complete your intake paperwork electronically. This includes the following:

    • Client Information Form

    • Consent to Counseling

    • Consent to Technology Assisted Counseling (Online Counseling Only)

    • Credit Card Authorization Form

    • FAQ/How to document for online counseling including instructions for the video platform

    • Good Faith Estimate

    • HIPAA Compliance Form

  2. Come check out pictures of the office and directions. You can also find directions from your location using this link. If you have any trouble finding the office, don’t hesitate to call!

What to Expect During the First Session

The first session is really an opportunity for you to share, for us to explore what brought you to counseling, for the two of us to get to know each other and to decide how we will proceed together. There is no pressure “to get it all out” during the first session—we can move at whatever pace feels comfortable and safe for you. We will also touch on the following:

  1. Review the paperwork you completed and signed (i.e. HIPAA, Consent and Client Info)

  2. You will have an opportunity to ask questions about the paperwork and the counseling process

  3. We may touch briefly on goals—but this is also something that may happen further into the future after we complete the initial intake process

  4. FOR PARENTS OF TEENS: Typically we meet as a family for the first part of the session, followed by some individual time with your teenager and the counselor
